1. Service Scheduling & Appointment Management

Commercial Kitchen Victoria (CKV) retains responsibility for coordinating and scheduling all service appointments, including breakdown repairs, general servicing, preventative maintenance and warranty-related visits.

While CKV will consider customers’ preferred attendance times, business operating hours, site access requirements and operational restrictions, final scheduling arrangements will be determined by CKV based on technician availability, location, existing commitments and service priorities.

Once an appointment has been scheduled, customers will be provided with an estimated attendance time or time window. These estimates are provided for planning purposes and do not constitute guaranteed arrival times.

2. Delays, Rescheduling & Unforeseen Circumstances

CKV makes every reasonable effort to attend scheduled appointments within the estimated time frame. However, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally result in delays or require appointments to be rescheduled.

Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to:

  • Emergency service requirements.
  • Unexpected complications or extended repair times on preceding jobs.
  • Traffic disruptions, vehicle breakdowns or accidents.
  • Technician illness, unavailability or other operational disruptions.
  • Circumstances beyond CKV’s reasonable control.

CKV reserves the right to adjust appointment schedules where reasonably necessary and will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers as promptly as practicable.

We understand the importance of minimising disruption to our customers’ business operations and will endeavour to accommodate operational requirements wherever reasonably possible.

We appreciate our customers’ understanding and flexibility when unforeseen circumstances affect our service schedule.

All scheduling arrangements remain subject to applicable legal obligations.

3. Respectful Communication & Zero-Tolerance Policy

CKV is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful and safe environment for our customers and employees. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, threatening, aggressive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate behaviour directed at our technicians, office staff or representatives. We expect all interactions to be conducted with mutual respect and professionalism. CKV reserves the right to suspend or discontinue service where such behaviour occurs, including requesting technicians to leave the premises where necessary for their safety. Any decision to suspend or discontinue service will be made reasonably and in accordance with applicable legal obligations. We appreciate our customers’ cooperation in maintaining a respectful and positive working relationship.

SERVICE & REPAIR WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Warranty Coverage

Commercial Kitchen Victoria (CKV) provides a 3-month limited repair warranty covering parts supplied and replaced by CKV and the workmanship associated with the specific repair performed.

The warranty commences from the date of repair completion and applies exclusively to the original fault rectified and the work documented in the service report.

This warranty does not extend to the appliance as a whole or cover subsequent faults unrelated to the original repair.

2. Scope of Service

CKV’s breakdown and repair services focus on investigating, diagnosing and rectifying the specific issue reported by the customer.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, breakdown and repair services do not constitute a comprehensive equipment inspection, general servicing or preventative maintenance assessment.

Components and systems unrelated to the reported fault may not be inspected or tested. Any additional issues identified may require a separate assessment, quotation and customer authorisation.

Completion of a repair does not guarantee the overall condition, reliability or future performance of the appliance.

3. Warranty Exclusions

CKV’s limited repair warranty does not cover:

  • New, separate or unrelated faults arising after the original repair.
  • Failures involving components or parts not repaired or replaced by CKV.
  • General wear and tear, misuse, improper operation or inadequate maintenance.
  • Faults or damage resulting from external factors, including electrical, gas, water supply or environmental conditions.
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repairs, alterations or third-party interference.
  • Pre-existing defects outside the agreed scope of work.

These exclusions apply only to CKV’s voluntary warranty and do not restrict any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

4. Warranty Claims & Assessment

Customers experiencing an issue potentially related to a previous repair should contact CKV as soon as reasonably practicable. To claim under CKV’s voluntary 3-month warranty, the relevant defect must arise within the warranty period.

Warranty claims can be submitted by:

Phone: (03) 9729 4235
Email: service@ckvictoria.com.au
Address: 8 Elliot Place, Ringwood VIC 3134

Customers should provide their invoice or service reference number, appliance details and a description of the reported issue.

Upon receiving a warranty claim, CKV will arrange a service appointment and dispatch a technician to inspect and assess the reported issue.

If the technician confirms that the fault is directly related to the original repair and falls within the warranty coverage, CKV will be happy to rectify the issue or replace the defective part at no additional repair cost, subject to the travel provisions in Section 5 and applicable law.

If the fault is determined to be unrelated to the original repair or outside the warranty coverage, standard service charges may apply. Customers will be informed of any applicable charges before additional chargeable work proceeds.

CKV will bear reasonable assessment and rectification costs for valid warranty claims. Customers seeking reimbursement of other reasonable claim-related expenses should contact CKV and provide supporting receipts. Any statutory entitlement to reimbursement remains unaffected.

5. Travel & Attendance Charges

Travel time and associated travel expenses are not included in CKV’s voluntary 3-month repair warranty and may be charged separately at CKV’s applicable rates, where permitted by law.

Customers will be advised of any applicable travel or attendance charges prior to the scheduled visit.

Where CKV is legally required to provide a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, no travel or attendance charges will be imposed to the extent that doing so would conflict with the customer’s statutory rights.

6. Warranty Scheduling & Business Operating Hours

All warranty-related service visits will be scheduled during CKV’s standard business operating hours, subject to technician availability, operational requirements and applicable legal obligations.

After-hours, weekend or public holiday attendance requested by the customer may incur additional charges. Any applicable charges will be communicated and agreed upon in advance.

Warranty appointments are also subject to CKV’s General Service Terms & Conditions regarding scheduling, estimated attendance times, delays and rescheduling.

All warranty claims will be managed within a reasonable time, taking into account the nature and urgency of the reported issue and applicable consumer law requirements.

7. Limitations of Repair

CKV undertakes repair work with due care and skill within the agreed scope of service.

The successful completion of a repair confirms only that the specified work has been performed and does not represent a comprehensive assessment or certification of the appliance’s overall condition.

CKV is not responsible under its voluntary repair warranty for unrelated faults, deterioration or failures involving components outside the agreed repair scope.

Any additional repairs, inspections or preventative maintenance services must be separately agreed upon and may incur additional charges.

Nothing in this section limits CKV’s responsibilities under applicable law.

8. Australian Consumer Law

This voluntary warranty is provided in addition to, and does not exclude, restrict or modify, any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable legislation.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where applicable, customers are entitled to statutory remedies for failures to meet consumer guarantees, including repair, replacement, cancellation, refund or compensation, depending on the nature and circumstances of the failure.

These rights may continue beyond CKV’s voluntary 3-month warranty period.
